Here's what KarDawn Soapworks has to say about how it does it's part to respect the environment in Pembroke, Ontario:
Description Of Environmental Practices:We take the utmost care to reduce, reuse and recycle every step of the way in our production, display and packaging. Scrapings are retained and used in our laundry detergent. Our display case was discarded by a large grocery chain. Our packaging is either recycled brown paper tied with grass, or a fabric bag made from reused clothing items and tied with leftover bits of pure wool or cotton yarn leftover from our knitting projects. We also gather, wash and reuse baskets that people have discarded after Easter, or from flower arrangements. We use shredded post-consumer paper as filler in the baskets WHEN necessary. We try not to use too much so the baskets do not need yards of plastic wrap to keep the contents intact.
