I'm Tracey TieF. Anarres Natural Health is my wholistic health practice in downtown Toronto, Ontario. Are your health concerns "under the radar" of the medical system? Is there something that you KNOW you NEED to change, but want some help getting it together? Always wanted to make potions? I enjoy working with people who are interested in learning how to heal and who are seeking alternatives to pharmaceutically-driven health care. I seek to restore mental, physical and spiritual health and natural beauty to my clients through:
- The production, from scratch, of wholesome health and beauty products
- Wholistic and aesthetic aromatherapy, the hands on, therapeutic use of essential oils, resins, hydrosols and infusions from plants
- Reflexology, a foot massage technique that stimulates the whole body through the reflexes of the foot
- Massage Chair Bodywork a clothed massage available to groups and offices travelling by TTC in the GTA
- Qi Stone Therapy, a deep massage technique that uses heated and sometimes cooled stones

90 All products are made by me in Toronto, but most contain an ingredient or more that was imported, although ingredients are sourced as locally as possible. Essential oils are grown all over the world and are generally processed on site.

Description Of Environmental Practices:
Anarres strives to be as ethical and environmentally friendly as possible.
- Anarres Clinic is in our home where the electricity is 100% from wind power, and we use less than half of the natural gas and water that the average household uses due to our conservation efforts. We are a David Suzuki Family!
- I choose suppliers who are local, small enterprises and who share Anarres' values.
- I do not use ingredients, such as Indian Sandalwood or Rosewood, from un-sustainably harvested and endangered plants.
- I use real towels and quilts, sanitized after each use in soap and essential oils rather than detergents, and washed and dried in an energy star washer-dehydrator.
- I am pioneering the use of cellulose bags from vegetable cellulose and PLA - corn resin plastic! I package all products in glass or compost-able containers unless PET is specifically requested by the client. Your own containers are always refillable, and you will always receive a discount.
I encourage packaging consciousness and refilling by:
- Showing the cost of the packaging separately on your receipt.
- Discounting the cost of the packaging on your receipt when you refill, saving you $2-3 typically.
- Giving you an additional $1 discount every time you refill.
My business practices were featured in Beth Terry's Blog "Fake Plastic Fish".
Anarres Natural Health now offer six varieties of wildcrafted and organically grown tea from local Algonquin Tea Company.
Anarres' atmosphere is warm and comfortable. We use real towels and quilts instead of crunchy paper and cool sheets.
Putting my money where my mouth is, more than 10% of all Anarres earnings go to a registered charity on a monthly basis. Anarres is blessed to support: InterPares , working for change among equals www.interpares.ca, the astounding social justice work of The Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan www.RAWA.org, the Ethiopian village of Nefas Mewja through CPAR www.cpar.ca, our foster brother Jose Eduardo through World Vision www.worldvision.ca, our foster sister Besse Carolina through Plan International www.fosterparentsplan.ca, Habitat for Humanity www.habitat.ca, and four families through Save A Family Plan www.safp.org.
Anarres provides only handmade, wholesome, non-petroleum, ethically-produced therapeutic and food-grade ingredients and products. Unlike most shops or brands that add essential oils to the same crappy ingredients you can buy at the dollar store, I make my creams, lotions, bath salts and massage oils from scratch. These are mixed for you in front of your eyes, and no ingredients are secret. I source my ingredients thoughtfully, preferring small businesses and cooperatives run with passion for health.
