I wanted a more healthier way of life.
In this vast country of ours I decided to go back to the basics. I live in a cabin in the mountains, without power or water, have a wood stove and goats. I started this magazine because I couldn't find any info about goats other than an association magazine which you had to belong to an association to get their news. I began the magazine and use a generator if I run out of solar power for my lap top on which I put it together each month. It has grown tremendously with many Canadians enjoying the back to earth articles that are in it. I have a Canadian flag on the front of the magazine and would love to add "really made in Canada" beside it. It is a 45 km road back in here, I work a day job as well as look after my goats, fibre goats for their hair. I am also beginning to process the hair and have mohair socks made for those cold Canadian winters. The goat industry in Canada is on the rise whether it be a big outfit, a backyard acreage or a goat for a pet. They make good lawn and brush mowers and can pack your food on a hike. I try to fit something about and for all Canadians in the magazine, good reading from cover to cover, from young to old, farmer to non-farmer something for everyone!
