Description Of Environmental Practices: Our dust containment system contains the dust from old flooring finishes as well as the wood dust itself, which depending on species, has a certain level of toxicity in itself. Jobsite dependent, we like to use all water-based finishes with a low VOC rating or a locally made wax-based finish. If we don't want to breath it in, we don't want our customers breathing it in either. Our hardwood flooring is grown in tree farms where the trees are harvested and replanted again so no forests are being destroyed in the process. Some of our wood products come from wind-fallen trees and beetle-killed pine! The benefits of hardwood flooring is that properly done, a hardwood floor will out last the owner if not even the house. Therefore you are not cluttering the landfills with old carpet and lino every 10 years or so.
