• The Personal Safety Triangle. An incredibly effective, but simple set of principles that enhances the effectiveness of your Personal Safety Plan.
• Reality Based Padded Attacker training. We use our unique ASIST training method to teach you simple, effective and combat proven Self Defense techniques that will enable you to incapacitate an attacker and escape the situation.

STREETSAFE LEVEL I -- StreetSense's unique StreetSafe courses will empower you and provide you with the tools and skills to protect yourself and your family. Our Reality Based Padded Attacker Training will give you the self -confidence you need to feel safe in a hostile world. In Level I you will learn about the principals of Risk Management and Mitigation and Mental Toughness. You will be walked through the process of conducting a Personal Security Audit and Risk Assessment. Information from the Security Audit will then be analyzed and assessed. The results of the Risk Assessment are then worked into a Personal Safety Plan. 90% of Personal Safety is learning to make appropriate decisions. Learning how to assess risk and taking steps to reduce its impact on your life is a primary focus in Level I. Student's will also learn about the Legal Ramifications of Self Defense and what the Use of Force Model is. At StreetSense, we believe the axiom that the best laid plans never survive thirty seconds of combat. That's why you will spend 4 hours learning the Self Defense Concepts that will allow you to escape from a dangerous situation. Our courses also address the Sexual Assault Trauma Syndrome often overlooked in other Self Defence courses Student's will learn about the Adrenaline Response and Target Fixation that occur as the result of adrenaline flooding the body during "Fight or Flight" mode. This causes the loss of fine motor control. Our unique (ASIST) Adrenal-Stress Induced Saturation Training teaches student's how to fight through the debilitating effects of adrenaline. All StreetSense Self Defense Concepts are simple, effective, proven and involve Gross Motor Skills movements. Student's will learn how to escape from grabs, chokes, and holds. You will learn how to counter attempts to kick or strike you. You will learn how to apply proper technique, bio-mechanics and Kinetic Linking to incapacitate an attacker and allow you to escape. Our course utilizes Reality Based Padded Attacker Training and Realistic Attack Scenarios to provide the student with a safe, effective way to practice their Self Defense Concepts full force and against a determined attacker.

WORKSAFE -- A StreetSense WorkSafe program is a one hour exploration of Personal Safety. This professionally facilitated discussion explores topics that are relevant to everyone's Personal Safety and Security. Topics include the psychology of violence, the criminal mind and how they choose and manipulate their victims. Also discussed is how listening to your instincts (Creep Meter) can keep you safe and how to complete a Personal Security Audit and develop a Personal Security Plan.

SCHOOLSAFE -- Drugs, gangs, dating violence, juvenile prostitution, crime, stalking and bullying are all issues our children may confront on a daily basis. StreetSense Safety and Security knows that schools and parents struggle with these seemingly overwhelming issues. We also know that part of providing our children with the best possible education involves teaching them the skills and knowledge not only to succeed academically, but also the skills to succeed in life. Until now part of the problem has been finding the experts who can teach our children how to avoid these dangers and how to keep themselves safe in an increasingly dangerous world. StreetSense has a solution. We've developed a modular system of facilitated discussions to talk to teens and teach them about the potential dangers in their lives and how to reduce their risk of becoming a victim of crime. Our programs are facilitated by veteran Peace Officers with over 40 years experience working with "High Risk" teens. We are highly trained and experienced working with gang members, street youth, juvenile prostitutes exit their high risk lifestyles.These one hour to ninety minute discussions are ideal for school assemblies, professional development days, and special event days. They are completely customizable to reflect the needs of each individual school. Our programs offer a unique and interesting look at the social issues that affect our young people and offer them practical solutions to empowerment, mental toughness training, decision making, and lifestyle choices.
