Do not take your boat here for services unless you enjoy getting
ripped off. We have taken our boat to Dandy for about five years.
This year when we took it for Spring run up they talked us into
servicing the impeller on the leg, to which we reluctantly agreed.
This ended up costing us $615. We put the boat in the water a few
days later and 20 min's into our boating day it started dumping oil
into the water, costing us $100 to be towed off the lake. We took it
back to Dandy who was eager to correct the problem. They discovered
the 14 pin harness (main connection) was not hooked up correctly and
caused the oil to dump. They fixed this and had the nerve to charge
us an additional $275 to fix THEIR MISTAKE stating they don't know
what will happen in the water. They should first of all checked this
during their initial Spring run up, as they state they check every
connection and hose in a run up. And after doing the work on the leg
they talked us into, they should have ensured the connections were
correct. We will never go there again. They state "Your Business is
Important to Us" - hardly.
