I find 132- 140 Wellington St S apartments to be in excellent order,
the office staff, superintendents and owner to be friendly, organized
and attentive to every detail.
Renovations and retrofits to the sewage
and water albeit ongoing, are a work in process.
I am a wee bit
dismayed that other people are posting that we have bedbugs and
cockroaches and this is simply not true at all.
The common areas are
regularly painted for every little scratch or mark. The halls
themselves are mopped at least once to twice per day.
There is
absolutely no crack problem here and anyone that says there is - is
making it up. There is zero tolerance for high traffic and noise here.
I have been moving non-stop to get away from other people's drug
lifestyles and violence and have never been happier in an apartment
building. I am asked every single time the owner or superintendent how
the apartment is and if there is any concerns on my part about the
unit.
My unit is spotless, in perfect repair and just a real gem of a
unit. The owner himself goes into the laundry room and wipes between
the lid of the machine to remove any debris or laundry soap or what
ever may accumulate there... the attention to detail is absolutely
incredible and I am extremely proud to call this my home.
I have never
been happier living in a rental unit. Kudos to the superintendents,
office staff and owner, Tony Gumiero. All the best everyone.

This is a horrible building 140, 132 136 Wellington South. I agree
with other comments : staff are intimidating, uncaring with no
education Since Mark and Tammy left the new supt. could care less_
where did they get these people from?
Cockroaches of all size and description , elevators that either do not
function or do not come to level at floors where people with baby
buggies and walkers live.
The city should get in here. Landlord tenant is exhausting and set
up that way. The underground is a classic -so called cameras that
record nothing and no one cares damages to your car on their property-
again this building is the bottom of the heap. Locks have been broken for entire weekends an
essential thing in this area: I agree with other contributors here:

Still live in Caledonia complex of Guniero Holdings. Nothing gets done. Have won a few battles
with the unprofessional office staff, by not being intimidated by
their loud voices trying to talk over me. Tony Gumiero seems to employ
only * people who have no
qualifications or education and [seem to] have never read the landlord and
tenant act. There must be a way for us tenants to join forces on this
wonderful web of Ours.

I currently live in the one house they rent in Dundas, upon moving in
I was told that they did not have a mold issue since I wanted to know
right away. Rita told us no there was no problem! Dear * there is
mold all over that * place! the laundrey room LEAKS water when it
rains! to top things off there are roaches! now I have to get rid of
all of my furniture and get more! this is ridiculous! I called a week
ago and told them about the mold problem, you think I got a phone call
back? nope! they are terrible landlords , filthy and greedy! what goes
around comes around!

I recently moved into the Caledonia Apartments. I have to say I have
never ever seen a slum lord like this man there is mold in almost
every apartment windows that do not close broken screens broken
stoves fridges that are not working prperly and rotting bathroom tiles
which is causing most of the mold we have children who will become
ill. We have deceided to have the health department come to check each
unit many people will become ill over this. [I think] This owner only buys
slummy apatment buildings puts a little money in them and moves on.
Think about where he has his office staff in a crappy basement hole
working for him in another one of his dumpy apartments, any man who
cared about his employees at least would put these women in a decent
office space. Shame on you Tony Gumiero you wouldnt let your
daughter live like that would you? Or maybe you would?

Well I must agree [that] Gumiero
Holdings, [does not] care about the people especially the tenants on
welfare and disability, these people are scared to say anything
because they are thretened to be evicted over issues that are not
checked out As far as Im concerned the buildings in Caledonia should
be condemmed and probably will be due to mold problems there are young
children and elderley people living here but so much can be done at
one time their in for a rude of wakening and yes the so called *
at the office needs to be fired.

Although I love my apartment and the area is excellent, I would like
to comment on the general atmosphere and experiences at this
location.
First off the receptionist at the office is moody, miserable and
usually not very friendly at all. She will cut you off before you
explain the situation.
Secondly, trying to get work done is a log process. Someone will come
and inspect the situation and tell you that the part needed is on
order. Thats the end of it. You would thing that a rental company
would have regularly used parts on hand (plumbing parts, electrical,
etc.) I'v even went to [local store], bought what was needed and did
the job myself. Anthig that has be done is a poor job and could have
been duplicated by a monkey with better reults.
Thirdly, It seem they dont care who they move in here as lon as they
have the money. We are plaqued with crack heads and the like, and now
a recent outbreak of bed bugs. I don't even want to use the laundry
facility's because of this.
The list could go on, but I'm not going to waste my time.
