Outraged in Winnipeg, Man. writes this customer review about Sigfusson Nursery School.
I am very unhappy with this daycare and the way it is operated. My
concerns and issues are with the owner and with the staff at the
Buchanan School location.
Unfortunately, because of circumstance and the availability of
child-care options, I am unable to remove my child(ren) from the
daycare and thus cannot jeopardize the placement by giving
recognizable details of my experiences.
Suffice it to say, that if my livelihood did not depend on having
child care from this particular centre, I would remove my child(ren)
immediately! The staff are unprofessional, seemingly uneducated, and
completely disorganized. I'm extremely upset with the things they
allow, and with the level of care provided. Not only do I often worry
about the emotional well-being of my child(ren), I also have
experienced a complete disregard of common sense when it comes to how
the staff handle conflict between children, child behavior (mine and
other children), financial dealings, and care availability (such as
closing the centre for two consecutive weeks and forcing parents to
pay the fees regardless).
Once I no longer feel forced to use the services of this daycare, I
will be contacting the director of the Manitoba Child Care program and
taking steps to petition for the closing of the centre(s).
I highly recommend that if at all possible, you do not
register your children at this daycare centre.
