Someone I trust recommended me Fab Salon. She usually goes there and
she is satisfied with the results. My experience, however, was
different. When I tried to book Mark he was consistently busy, so I
was advised to go with another senior stylist.
After she applied the color I had to wait for more than one hour
(normally this never takes more than 30 minutes) while she did another
client's hair. Then she did not give me the style I asked her to ( I
even showed her a picture), and finally wanted to let me go without
styling it! When I asked her to please blow dry it, she burnt me
three times. I had been there for three hours, lost several inches of
hair and had a style that I still hate (I am waiting for it to
grow)! The only thing that was professional was the price, but not
the service.

I went for a consultation at Fab Salon for hair extensions. I met
with a woman who seemed very knowledgable and explained the details of
getting hair extensions, how long they would last, how to care for
them, and even mentioned she has clients on a regular basis, and all
of her clients extensions last longer than the antipated 3 months. She
went on to advise that most of clients can get up to around 6 months
before having to change the extension hair. While I was there we
picked out colours that would match my hair and everything seemed
really great. I went home and took about a week or two to decide if I
was going to get the hair extensions (they are not cheap, so I wanted
to be sure). Once I had went on many other consultation at other
salons I decided that I felt most comfortable with Fab and the woman I
had orginally met with. I placed the order for the hair and in two
days I was back at the salon to have the hair extensions put in. The
process took about 5 hours at which I was billed by the hour. The end
result was great, I had long thick hair and it matched my real
perfectly. It is now one month later and my extensions had to be taken
out! Before I had them removed by ANOTHER salon, I tried to call and
ask to come in because I was concerned for my real hair, as my
extensions were falling out. I lost more than 8 bonds within one
month, and every time I brushed the hair it would break off and just
come out strand by strand. I was cleaning my brush out literally
everytime I brushed my hair. Now anyone who knows about extensions
knows that this is not supposed to happen, especially within ONE
month! I called the salon more than a handfull of times in the two
weeks before I had them removed, only to hear from the receptionist
that the woman who did my hair is too busy to take a phone call or
have me drop by to just take a quick look at my hair (I was very
concerned, as I am getting married in September and did not want to be
bald). I would have had to wait about 2 weeks before I could even get
an appointment, and that was just for a consultation! If I needed them
out, I would have had to re-book! After hearing this I went to see my
friend who is a hair stylist, and she recommended I go and see a girl
she knows who specializes in extensions. At this point I was informed
that the hair should not be falling out, and perhaps I had received a
bad batch of hair, or it was not bonded to my natural hair properly or
the wrong tools were used. She offered to take the extensions out so
no further damage if any would be done to my natural hair. She told me
to keep the hair, because you could see how the hair was just breaking
off and advised me to go back to the salon and ask for a refund. I
have called several times and left messages. I have also found out
since then, that the person who did my extensions is in fact the owner
of the salon, so she obviosuly has the authority to correct the
situation. She offered a service with the promises of long lasting
hair extensions, and did not deliver on her promise. I don't feel that
paying for a service that is meant to last 3-6 months (according to
the salon and the hair extension company) and have it only last one
month is fair.
