This spa initially provides clients with up-to-date equipment and
top-notch service. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff is courteous
and dedicated. However,
in my experience, while having a pedicure my
esthetician neglected to follow strict hygiene practices. I obtained a fungus and bacterial infection in both large
toenails. It has taken seven months so far to treat the problem with
expensive medications and visits to a podiatrist and family doctor,
who both attest the infections are a result of my pedicure at Total
Wrapture. This was the first establishment I had a pedicure in in 27
years.
When I approached Total Wrapture for compensation to help pay for my
medications, podiatrist visits, and pain and suffering, the manager
stood her ground in supporting her hygenic measures. She also
confessed I 'may' have contracted these infections from her salon, and
a hundred and fifty other places I come into contact everyday. She
adamantly refused to compensate me for my trouble, while also refusing
to believe I became infected on her premises.
My doctors believe without a doubt I became infected at Total
Wrapture, as my inflictions began shortly after the pedicure.
I want to warn all who use this facility that there is a risk
involved, as with all salons. Some people get off scot-free; others
like myself have the misfortune of picking up bacteria and fungus that
existed due to poor hygenic measures. Not all estheticians work the
same. Some are more aware than others that it takes a heck of a lot of
prudence to be perfect in every aspect. As far as I'm concerned, if
Total Wrapture wants to maintain their perfectly polished view of
themselves, they should follow through in a case like mine and admit
to fault. I now have a very bad impression of their duty to the public
and their measures of cleanliness. I am most unhappy and intolerant
of the salon owner's unsympathetic attitude.
