Outraged Parent in Ottawa, Ontario writes this customer review about Yang W H Dr.
As a direct consequence of Dr. Yang's haste to do nothing short of
prescribe serum for allergy shots, and the ineptitude of his nurse, my
daughter suffered systemic anaphylactic shock, which, if she had not
had her Ventolin at hand, could have been fatal.
After having experienced goose-egg-sized lumps at the injection sites
of both arms, my daughter had called Yang's nurse to describe this
reaction. We both had been told that the reaction should not be any
larger in size than a "loonie".
She was advised during both call-backs from Yang's office to continue
with her injections, that this reaction was "normal". Trusting this
information, my daughter did as she was told. After waiting the
mandatory 20-30 minutes after her injection one day, my daughter began
to experience severe itching in her ears and in her throat. I was, at
the time, driving, while she was sitting in the passenger seat of our
car. She then, within seconds, began to produce an enormous amount of
mucous, developed a visible rash everywhere, began wheezing, became
naseous, and told me she was having trouble breathing. Her face also
began to swell within a matter of seconds. I told her to get her
Ventolin immediately.
I used a cell phone to call our neighbourhood clinic where her serum
was routinely delivered from Yang's office for her weekly shots. I
drove, as though I was an ambulance, to get back to the clinic. When
we arrived there, I accompanied her to the washroom, where she
immediately began vomitting and evacuating her bowels. It was then
that I also saw that her groin to her knees was purple with rash. The
doctor on call was horrified, immediately administered benadryl and
epinephrine, in addition to calling paramedics in the event that
neither treatment worked and my daughter needed to be taken to the
hospital for further itervention.
In closing, had Dr. Yang himself not been so eager to make money off
the sale off far too aggressive allergy serum, had his nurse been more
vigilant, or, at the very least more knowlegeable regarding my
daughter's reaction to this serum, this never would have happened. I
would vehemently warn everyone against seeing this doctor.
