Denise in Riverview, New Brunswick writes this customer review about Klassy Kutz.
I am so thoroughly upset with this place
and the Manager, who basically blamed me for what happened. Here's my
story.
decided last minute to get my hair cut. I have been growing it
for 3.5yrs, I myself, had recently cut bangs for myself and layered my
hair but it was time for more to come off. I was having professional
photos done the next day with my husbands family, so I wanted to look
and feel better.
I entered the building, the young girl said she
would do my hair for me, I sat down in her chair and proceeded to tell
her what I wanted - about 3 inches cut off the bottom and layer it.
She informed me she would like to "DRY CUT" my hair because it's
easier, she then proceeded to SNIP upwards (like you would do to trim
bangs) all the way around the bottom of my hair and asked me if that
was okay, I said No, I want 3 inches taken off, so around she went
again, snipping into it, AGAIN I had to show and tell her "THIS MUCH"
(up to my collarbone), well once that was done, she barely checked to
see if it was even on each side, she also asked if she could use the
bathroom, so I said yes, come to find out, she had cut her finger and
couldn't get it to stop bleeding,
she went over to her co-worker and
asked her for band aids, when she came back she asked ME if I wanted
it layered, that's what I asked for when I came in, this is where it
got awful for me, she pulled the initial layer up and asked me if this
was where I wanted the layer to begin I said Yes, that's good,
she
went around my head doing that Upward snip, as she's doing all this
I'm explaining that I was trying for side swept bangs, so she trimmed
my bangs, didn't even give me side swept bangs, thinking that she was
going to go back to layering my hair, she pulls out the thinning
shears says she wants to thin out the bottom part (below my "LAYER") a
little, she finishes and said there.
My stomach was in so many knots,
I was afraid to get her to finish. I paid for my crappy haircut, in
all it was 25.00.
I came home and told my husband that she had
* my beautiful hair. our power had gone out earlier in the day
and was still not on, so I couldn't even fix or redo or check out the
damage she had done, in my mind I kept thinking I can work with this,
but not being able to do anything without power it was frustrating.
Anyway, the following morning, I put so much gel, hairspray, anything
to get my hair to NOT show this LAYER that she put in (which reminded
me of a bowl placed on my head and proceeded to cut half the thickness
of my hair all the way around)for my family photo shoot.
Needless to
say the following day I had broken down in heaping tears, my 12 year
old daughter holding me saying it looked fine, I was blaming myself
and she's telling me it's not my fault.
I couldn't bring myself to go
in and complain about the young girl that did my hair, I knew it
wasn't done right, I knew she was just out of school, but when my mom
saw my hair and she gasped, I knew I couldn't let another person go
through the emotions I went through.
Mom took me to my old
hairdressing place to correct the damage that had been done, which she
told me would take 2-3 haircuts to get it back to normal.
So on our
way home Mom and I stopped in to get my money back, when she finally
came out I proceeded to tell her what happened and showed her pictures
of my hair (mom had taken them on my [handheld device] as proof)and that I wanted
my money back,
she said that first of all, she won't because I went
somewhere else to get my hair done, I should have come back there and
the hairdresser that did my hair would have fixed it, I said * NO,
she said well then another hairdresser would have done it, I said NO I
wouldn't have any one of them work on my hair, isn't it prove enough
that I went somewhere else to get it fixed that I was THAT upset with
the service I got.
She said that she wouldn't refund my money,
explained that she's had customers RAVE about her hairdresser that she
does BEAUTIFUL cuts, and that there must have been a misunderstanding,
I said that I wanted 3 inches cut off and layered, (showed her the
pictured again) and said this is what I got, not hard to misunderstand
that.
I also complained that does she expect every customer that
walks in the door to show the hairdresser step by step on how to cut
hair, that we are to show them how to layer hair and show them what 3
inches is, again she blamed me that there must have been a
misunderstanding, she wasn't there to hear or see anything.
So all in
all she's blaming me for the bad haircut when the proof was right
there in her face how BAD the haircut really was.
She proceeded to be
rude with my mother as well, I had flames of fire coming out my ears
while I was trying to get my money back, that I can't remember much
else.
She was very rude, actually she was more a * about the
whole situation, didn't care about keeping one customer happy for
25.oo, or losing any more customers.
Upon arriving home I told my husband that we
had stopped in there and that the Manager refused to give me my money
back, so he called her and she [figuratively] jumped down his throat when
he explained why he was calling and she said if this is about "so &
so" I already told her she's not getting her money back, proceeded to
inform him that she would contact her lawyer.
So he explained the
same thing about keeping a customer happy for 25.00 means nothing to
you. This lady? really * me off, to shrug me off, blame me,
and talk to my Mom and I like we were the idiots.
she should not be
serving the public in my opinion. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, OR
EVEN LOOK AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT.

So I just got an eyebrow wax at this place and she messed up my
eyebrows! They're uneven and she even got wax in my hair!
She didn't
let me see them before we left but my mom told me to leave a 3$ tip,
so I did. Only to get in the car and look at them and regret ever
going to this place.
Kelly A in Riverview, N.B. writes this customer review about Klassy Kutz.
My first and last visit to klassy kutz, which to say the least is the
least klassiest place I have ever been to,
first of all the salon looks like everything in it is from the seconed hand store down the
street, it was not clean, and the customer service was worse. When i
spoke with the manager or owner whatever she was she basically told me
if i dont like it go somewhere else and laughed in my face, I was
getting a pedicure, I had to sit on this old chair and soak my feet in
a tin bowl, then she out me on what im asuming was a esthetic table,
but it was obvioulsy broken, and it was wobly and looked homemade, it
was so bad the esthetician apoligzed for it.
I paid almost 50 dollars
for this pedicure that lasted 35 min, she soaked my feet in cold
water, no scrub, a 3 mon massage, pushed my cuticles back with a
wooden stick, then painted my toes which took the longest, then i
made the mistake in going to the washroom,, well i wish i would have
went there when i first got there as it was filthy.
If im paying
almost 50$ for a pedicure i expect at least the place to be clean and
not look like some dirty seconed hand store decorated from the dollar
store. No I would not at all, if I won a free service I would not
even give it away id throw it away as I would not want someone to go
thru what I did
i was at klassy kutz in feb of 2010, I suggest they realize its 2010
and if they want to be considered a klassy place to decorate like one.
Unhappy Client in Riverview, N.B. writes this customer review about Klassy Kutz.
Absolutely the worst gel nail application I have ever seen. When we
contacted the owner to see what we could do to rectify the problem,
she only offered for the same esthetician (Tanya) to re-do them.
The
problem is that they are far beyond repair and would need to grow out
completely in order to be redone. I had two nails fall off within the
first 12 hours after application. The esthetician did not even remove
the little bit of polish that remained on the nails and simply covered
it up with gel.
Owner is very unprofessional and esthetician does very
sloppy, careless work. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!
