Disgusted in Toronto, Ont. writes this customer review about Avcan Management Inc.
1) The vent systems on the upper floors of the building actually allow
smells and smoke from other apartments on the same floor to seep in. I
had bronchitis [and] some * neighbour smoked pot regularly and
when i told security and management they did absoloutely nothing. And
the worst part was that there were kids on my floor (29th to be
exact)
2) Anyone who lives near the grabage chute, their apartment absolutely
stinks
3) Bed bug infestation is very common, and the worst part is that
managment does nothing until you badger them for a while and then they
are absolutely rude. It took us 9 months to finish up this stuff, and
i kept hearing from other people in the building how its happened to
them and some of them had to pay for a terminator
4) Parking is a nightmare, you have to get a permit from the security
office across the street and then you have to wait on your guests
outside and let them in using your parking entrance key card.
Everytime you have a party it is a very big hassle. Other than that
the security guards are almost always useless, and extremely rude
5) You can always hear your neighbours loud music upstairs or beside
you, and most of them completely inconsiderate. Tried to call the
security and nothing, had to call them almost everyday
6) Dont ever let your fridge die on you on the weekened, they wont
replace it, and dont ever try to call management, because they wont
even bother calling you back forget apologizing about getting a fridge
3 days later (this is the AVCAN management not the superintendents,
because they are actually fairly nice people)
7) Of course other than bed bugs there are periods of cockroach
infestations in the summer if you are not careful
